What NAFA is
NAFA–UNPAM is a professional association for lawyers trained outside the United States. We bring together colleagues from across Latin America and the world, help them master U.S. law and its language, and build bridges with employers and with the international sections of bar associations.
You don't need to start with a full program. You can join as a member, take one course, and move forward at the pace your career needs.
NAFA is not a law firm or a university, and it does not grant licenses to practice law: each state's supreme court and admissions board decides. None of our courses is a Foreign Legal Consultant course, and none replaces a requirement of a state bar.
